Saving

How do I save a reel or video?

Open it in Instagram or YouTube, tap Share and pick SaveStack. In Instagram it is under Share to…, in YouTube under More. That's it: SaveStack gives it a title, summary, category and tags in the background.

I can't find SaveStack in the share menu.

Scroll the row of apps to the end and tap More. On most phones you can long-press SaveStack there and pin it, so it stays at the front of the list.

Which apps work?

Instagram reels and posts, and YouTube videos, including Shorts. Links from other apps can't be saved yet; SaveStack will tell you when a link isn't supported.

Does SaveStack download the video?

No. It keeps the link, a cover image, and the title, summary and tags it writes. The video itself stays on Instagram or YouTube. If the creator deletes the post, the link stops working, but your title and summary remain.

Sorting and finding

How does SaveStack decide the title and category?

It reads the post's public details: the caption, the creator, the audio track, and text or objects on the cover image. An AI model uses those to write a short title and summary, pick a category and add tags.

The category or tags are wrong. Can I fix them?

Yes. Open the item and tap its category to move it to another one. Tap Add tag to add a tag, or long-press a tag to remove it. You can also rename or delete categories on the Topics tab. Your changes are never overwritten.

A save is stuck or wasn't sorted.

Sorting needs an internet connection. While you are offline, new saves wait and are sorted automatically once you are back online; SaveStack keeps retrying for several days. If an item still couldn't be sorted, open it and use ⋮ → Reprocess. Posts with an empty or very short caption give less to work with, so their title can be plainer.

Does it work offline?

Mostly. Saving, browsing and searching your library all work offline, because they run on your phone. Only sorting new saves needs a connection, and it happens automatically when you're back online.

How do I delete a save?

Open the item and use ⋮ → Delete. Deleting can't be undone.

Privacy

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up and no login. Our servers only know a random, anonymous ID for your install.

What leaves my phone?

Only the public details of a post you save: the caption, the creator, the audio track name, and text or objects read from the cover image. An AI model on our servers turns them into a title, summary, category and tags. Results are kept for up to 30 days so the same post isn't analysed twice. Nothing is used to train AI models.

Your library, categories, tags and searches stay on your phone. Details are in the privacy policy.

Your saves

When could I lose my saves?

Your library is stored only on your phone. It is gone if:

Updating SaveStack from Google Play never deletes your saves.

Can I move my saves to a new phone?

Not yet. Backup to your own Google account is planned. Until then, keep SaveStack installed on your current phone.

Help

How do I report a problem or suggest something?

In SaveStack, go to Settings → Report a problem: show us the screen, mark it up and add a note. Or email support@thiramstudios.com.
